I believe it's been out of print for quite a while, due to some copyright issues.

<edit> I sold my copy, no more PMs please & thanks!

The copyright issue probably came from the exercises being almost
identical to DHC/37 weeks.
Peace,
-Dennis

Totally agree with you, Dave! But the one thing I like about Total
Range that none of these other methods give (perhaps besides St. J)
is "Lip time" and "overall time."

Why would you want it? Just a re-working of Claude Gordon...and not as good..

That's your opinion. And you are certainly entitled to express it , but I really don't see a lot of similarities between the two , Claude's book is more comprehensive than the Peters book , but the Peters book is still a very useful book.

I've got a copy! I use it every day as a warm up and/or minimum practice. By that I mean I go through the current pages I'm using on those days that I can't practice very much.

Dennis, guys are always interested in a title like that.....they'd be better off with Claude Gordons Book..and spend plenty of time on the Clarke Studies, St. J's, Colin Lip Flex, etc. that Claude works through.

Dave,

What is the exact title of the Claude Gordon book you're referring to? Thought I may give it a try.

Thanks.

Systematic Approach to Daily Practice
You should also pick up his Daily Trumpet Routines
Both excellent resources!

There are some really good exercises in "Total Range" but it is worth noting that they are VERY similar to the exercises in Spaulding's "Double High C in 37 Weeks." If you already have one you might find it a waste of money to purchase the other.

I thought Scribd was a subscription and you had to pay for the subscription.

You are correct, you need a subscription to download pdf's from Scribd. They do have a copy of Total Range on the site. Message me if you need some help.

And to comment on the book Total Range. I thinks its more about building a good routine and practice habits. I do like that each week builds on the last and you also get to start at your level of playing. I have many of my students on Beginner and Intermediate and after doing it for a week they see great results.
