Glad to hear that the snake recovered from its trip!.
Did you find any 'treasures' in the horn?

PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'.

Hello Jay,

There was nothing remarkable that I found, just lots of (blue-looking) droplets.
Thanks again for the help.

Cheers!

BLUE droplets? That might indicate that when washing the horn you're using a product that is too strong, or that you did not thoroughly rinse the horn with plain water.

Does the exterior of the horn (or the mouthpiece) show any indication of the finish or silver wearing quickly? Black spots or yellow spots on any silvered area?

Do you drink any type of beverage during practice sessions? Plain water should be fine, but I suggest NOT drinking anything with flavoring.

My concern is that when copper is chemically dissolved, it can produce a blue or green color.

Have you changed the brand of valve oil you use? Some valves oils are not compatible. Do you clean your trumpet regularly? Not forgotting to rinse off and use isopropyl alcohol on the valves and valve block. It is amazing how many trumpet players don't properly oil their valves or clean their trumpets.
