Posted: Wed May 13, 2020 7:05 am Post subject: A little Getzen Company Spring Cleaning |
|
|
One upside of Wisconsin’s Safer At Home order, if there is one, is that it gave us some time to do a little spring cleaning at Getzen.
Every year, we put together sets of demo instruments for all of the various state and national shows. Ideally, the instruments at a show are sold during the show via local dealers. As the year goes on however, we end up with a mixture of demo instruments that have not yet sold at a show. Typically, these instruments are used for the following year’s demo stock. With the cancellation of all upcoming shows and the uncertainty for next year, this year we are taking a different approach.
Starting today, we are opening up a Reverb shop to sell off this inventory of demo model instruments. They are all in great shape with only minor cosmetic blemishes, but we can’t, in good conscience, sell them as new. Each instrument is being sold in “as is” condition with full mechanical warranty. Due to the show horn/demo model status there is no finish warranty. The pricing reflects the limited warranty coverage and “open box” condition.
The instruments currently available on Reverb are:

I just checked the link again and it worked. However, it did take a bit of time for the listings to actually load. If you still can't get it to work, you could always search for Getzen and look for any listings that say "Sold Directly By Getzen" _________________ Brett Getzen

I think there is a geo-block on the listings from outside the US.
Where it has the bottom banner about updating the shipping address, select the "do not update" option.
If you've already done it, try a different browser or incognito/private window. |

They are selling fast. It has been posed for two and half hours, and about two thirds of them have sold. |

I was looking at the pictures that say "Show Stock/Demo Sold". When I saw the word "sold," I thought those had been sold. |

I think some text is getting chopped. I see:
"– Show Stock/Demo Sold Directly By Getzen" |

Oh if I only had the spare cash, the 800DLX would be staying within the state of Wisconsin. |

Just have to say I got a great deal on a 940S Getzen piccolo trumpet from the Getzen factory demo sale on Reverb. The picc was essentially new and still needs to broken in. Still lots of great deals on Reverb.

Why are the lacquered and silver finished Eternas the same price? _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

A few years ago we changed our pricing structure to make lacquer and silver plated small brass the same price. It followed a cost analysis that showed while material costs on lacquer were lower, the labor costs were higher. Basically, the cost to manufacture was almost the same for the two finishes so we decided the selling price should be too. _________________ Brett Getzen

If anyone is looking for a terrific all-around Bb along the lines of a Bach 18037, I noticed that there is still a 3050 available, as well as a 3070, which is a fine C trumpet along the lines of a Bach 229. |

Try to choose "Continental U.S." on "Ships to" menu.
It is the small toggle menu on the left-hand side. |
