Hi.
Right now, my usable high range is capped out at a fat double G. I can get out up to a double D, but anything above the G or sometimes Ab or A is quiet and puny in comparison.
Any advice for expanding the sizzle and fire into those notes beyond the G?

I'm in the same boat more or less. I can't answer that question. But I can say that for me it is valuable to just make my usable range more locked in and consistent- I don't really need notes above G.
I am thinking the better in shape I get, the more powerful my upper register seems to be. I am a skinny tall guy, but I've been strengthening my core and I think it helps. I also have been having a better sound in the upper register with a more open oral cavity than I have used in the past. However, I still sound very small above G. I am okay with that as long as my sound is good and reliable. |

Not many players do...although it sure is fun!! 
This is a very common problem with discovering and making the transition
to the "falsetto" range of the instrument.
