Thanks for those, Jeff. I'm in my eighties and remember Jack from his days as music director on the Merv Griffin Show. He was a lot heavier then.
I always liked his playing. He played a beautiful solo on The Shadow Of Your Smile, the love theme from The Sandpiper movie soundtrack and it won a few important awards.

Great band too! I always loved his solos - he goofed a lot too when on his own. He could make you laugh as he played. Great entertainer

Slight correction here - Mort Lindsey was the musical director. Jack was just in the band.....along with Harold Land, Nick Cerullo and others....

Isn’t that about same size as Bobby Shew lead piece?
