If anyone has seen the Monster Oil Brass Chats....near the beginning Scott Laskey talks about a recording of Bruckner 7 with the Chicago Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall, Solti conducting(with Phil Smith playing 2nd, Will Scarlett on 3rd and a british player I don't remember on 4th).
I know it's been on youtube before but I couldn't find it the past few years...someone just posted it on Youtube:)
Incredible Playing!

Great performance!
Phil Smith had already accepted the job in NY, but wanted to go on the tour.
Charlie Geyer had just left the 2nd chair and no one was there to replace him.
Phil stepped in.
George Vosburgh was coming in at 2nd. and Tim Kent was coming in at 4th.
Sadly, Scott Laskey was going to make a set of mouthpieces of Herseth's usual mouthpieces, a 1, 1B, 1C, and 7E, and a rotary for sale, but Scott passed away shortly after the interview.

The same user has posted variety other interesting things, including a CSO Bruckner six that must’ve been not too long after this. _________________ Trombahonker's Practice Studio on Youtube |
