I own the Audio Technica ATH-M40x studio headphones. They go for about $100. They are wired and are quality professional head phones. They sound great. They sound very clear and very accurate. Not boomy boomy headphones like beats. _________________ 2018 Schilke B6

I have used Beyerdynamic headphones for years, starting with the classic DT-48 and now with the DT-250 (80 ohm). The DT-48 was considered the gold standard by many sound engineers, particularly in the motion picture and location recording fields. Built like a tank, very adjustable for head size, but clamped so tightly I risked a headache if I wore them more than an hour or so. But the sound was so clean, clear and flat. The DT-250 seems to have been based on the DT-48 design, but with lighter weight and much more comfortable to wear for long periods. The replaceable ear pads are fuzzy, and don't stick to my skin. The heavy-duty coil cord is replaceable and fitted with a stereo mini-plug with a 1/4 inch stereo plug adapter. They cost $199. The sound is very transparent, the response very flat. _________________ Jim19043

+1 for Audio Technica.
I use m50x's for my critical listening which were recommended to me by a professional sound engineer. Clear and crisp. _________________ Bb: FrankenBach, '72 Committee, Conn 22B, King 2070SGX
