I visit a secondhand store today and I saw a trumpetcase with a trumpet in it. Looks like its 100years old and I thougt...wtf...wy not and I paid 40euro
A text on the silver bell says " favourite Elkhorn wiz".
But.....no serial on the valves stands the numbers 7 8 9
Sound is warm and easy blowing
Was it a good buy? _________________ It's the sound you make |

It's probably worth about 40 euros.
It's probably "Elkhorn WIS" as in Wisconsin. Home of Getzen and Allied Supply (parts and repair) and former home of Holton. Also, likely a stencil made by one of those.
If it plays well, it's worth 40 euros, right? _________________ LA Benge 3X Bb Trumpet
