Hello everyone. I need to change the general pump slide and third pump with ring on the Bach Omega MG290. Is any technician aware if they are interchangeable with the Bach 180S37? |

In my experience, most Omegas are built on a Strad valve section. The main difference is a 2 piece bell.

I don't know if the diameter of the tubes and the center distance are the same. |

A ring can be mounted on third slide. The Omega was developed as a cheaper model for students.
Good horn, used by many Latin players as it a cheaper alternative to a Strad. _________________ Steve Hollahan

I have to change the two general pump and third pump slides. I would like to know if I can buy Bach 180 37 spare parts and they are interchangeable

For the main tuning slide I bought an Omega slide that fits my strad (I'd actually bought it for a TR200 I later sold, and it fits that too).
*BUT* for the third valve slide I don't think it will fit because the tubes are even, whereas as on a 18037 the top slide is longer than the bottom one. Your pictured horn does look closer to a regular Bach so maybe it would work. Some repair places will let you return something for a modest restocking fee. |

I don't know if it suits you. The prices of Bach spare parts are very high |

What do you mean by pump slide? Are you talking about the dump slide on the third valve? Or do you mean the tuning slide? _________________ 2019 Martin Schmidt eXcellence

Pretty sure talking about the whole third slide.
Unless you are talking about the referral to general pump slide. U have no idea what that is a reference to. _________________ Current horns

I too am confused by the term “pump”. When I read this when it was first posted I decided the OP meant piston. But the usage “general pump” doesn’t resolve well if piston is substituted. |

Hopefully op will clarify, but not confident. _________________ Current horns
