Today I am practicing the following:
1. Blue Courante (from Bach violin partita no. 2 arr. for trumpet by Brandon Ridenour) --focus on phrasing and articulation; to make performance ready
2. Miles Per Hour by Regina Harris --to record and share with Regina
3. Overture to Candide by Bernstein --to make performance ready
4. Scheherazade Rimsky-Korsakov --for articulation-rhythm-transposition
5. Rustiques by Bozza --to make performance ready
6. Summertime duet arr. by Veldkamp --just for fun
7. Double Presto from Violin Partita I, BWV 1002 transcribed by Caleb Hudson---serving as a double tongue, etc study
Listened to:
1. Peer Gynt, Grieg
2. Capriccio Italienne, Tchaikovsky
3. Capriccio Espagnole, Rimsky-Korsakov

I'm practising week #25 of Harold Mitchell's Trumpet Method Book #1. For the last 6 months I've been working through the book and I can't recommend it highly enough. |
