I thought that I would start off by saying that I've recently found that a (1951) Martin Committee trumpet can use the valves from a (1955) Martin Imperial trumpet and vice versa of course. Also Martin Cornets (Committees and Imperials) exchange valves perfectly. Now the amazing thing is that my 1951 #3 Committee trumpet works fine with Martin Imperial cornet valves and Martin Committee cornet valves. The valves can be a little tighter or looser on different model switches, but, they all work great when oiled up! Any other unusual horn part exchanges out there? _________________ Chuck Cox

Do something with every note you play. Sometimes the rests are more important than the notes |
