I have to say, my new Monster Oil polishing cloth is making my horn look like new, and the lubricants are truly world-class. Some of my favorites for smoothness and still long-lasting.

I am confused. I'm asking here because:
1) Facebook is evil.
2) Other people may have the same question.
What is the difference between "Smoother" and "EcoPro Heavy".
I have a horn that's a little long in the tooth and I'm thinking that a heavier oil might make it happier.

Great question! The EcoPro line is the best line of lubricants we've ever tried. So I have to recommend trying the EcoPro Heavy first. However, our older formulation Smoother has a rabid following from antique instrument owners.
Give the EcoPro a shot and if you don't like it we'll send you a Smoother on the house.
Best,

Tom,
Which has the higher viscosity, the EcoPro Heavy or the Smoother? Just curious.
Thanks,

Is the Eco Pro Heavy valve oil toxic? I’ve been using Ultra Pure Classic on my old Connstellation and I’ve always been rather unsettled by its toxicity. |

How much valve oil were you planning on drinking?
Quote: | Ultra-Pure Oils products are safe and non-toxic when used for their intended purpose - oiling a musical instrument. The US and Europe recognize all light oils sold to consumers as an aspiration risk, so they do not allow a "non-toxic" statement on the bottle. All brands of valve oils (and all other light hydrocarbon oils, whether petroleum or synthetic) require a safety warning statement and child-resistant packaging. |

I am purely guessing, but, for the trumpet player using it just for its intended usage, I would say nothing to worry about.
However, if you have a curious toddler who might drink it, IMO, this is a very relevant question. |
