|
|
Has Aebersold gone completely digital, yet? In this day and age IMO it's crazy not to go for digital downloads and playability on your PC, iPhone etc. I've looked around the Aebersold site and all I find are CCDs. Have I overlooked anything, or are CDs the only format? Thanks. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

I've seen a select few that you can play via apple music or google music, but most don't seem to be available there, unfortunately. I agree though, it should be more available there! _________________ Adams A1 Tpt.

It's probably a result of the piracy of his series. The first 100 or so were available for free online if you looked ten years or so ago. You can get a few via Amazon though. |

If you look on the jazzbooks.com website under the "Tech" tab there seem to be 109 pages of digital downloads available. |

Rich is correct. Go to the jazzbooks.com website and search for digital. Most of his books are available and downloadable (parts and play-along tracks). You can also subscribe to the streaming service he provides, which has some added flexibility features, but doesn't include access to the lead sheets and text. _________________ Bach trumpet artist-clinician

When I go to the jazz books.com website, there is a blue banner with white writing at the top of the page, just under the search box and the shopping cart. In the middle of the blue banner is "Tech".
Also just by the search box and Advanced Search at the top is a "Buy Tracks" field which takes you straight to the page.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks, Pat.
Back story-I had a ton Aebersolds but an international move, two domestic downsizes to much smaller apts. and I don't have much room. Keeping all of this in my computer really helps. Thanks again K- _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

For $50 per year, you can have unlimited streaming to all the Aebersolds. You can also alter them to change tempos or keys.
As much as I like I Real Pro and such, those Aebersold rhythm sections are hard to beat! _________________ Brent |

Thanks, Brent. I contacted Aebersold and downloaded three Aebersold volume that I can play and read on my PC. That'll keep me busy for a while. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

Thanks also, I see where there are links to purchase on iTunes as well, which will come in handy! Easier than trying to keep track of a physical download only accessible by one hard drive.
