As i said in a previous post, i have a friend who is looking to sell a New York Strad sn 12,xxx. This friend is selling the horn for tax purposes.
As i mentioned before this person is a professional jazz musician in Indianapolis and a succesful one at that. He has , that i know of, two cd's as a leader, and two by a group which he co-leads, and several which he is a sideman on.
I have seen and played the horn and it is nice. It has just had a reeves alignment and a chem clean.
If anyone has any questions, send me a private message and i will pass them along, or i could hook you up with a way to contact him. Please don't hesitate to ask questions, I'm tryin to help him out, and my guess is he would be more than happy to answer questions.
Also i'm sure a couple of other posters on the Herald know him and i could have them vouch for the good character of the seller.

Oh, i forgot to mention. He is willing to sell the horn for a low price. He ended up not selling it on ebay because it failed to mee the reserve of 1,400. He's going to be selling it for less this time.

I just moved back to Indy, I'm not in the market for another horn right now (I've sworn off Ebay, this time I mean it....) but I am looking for someone to take a few lessons from. Does your friend do lessons?
