but i cant be arsed wading through all the posts to find out
Just wondering if starting a BE course, would you still be able to carry on playing as normal, or would you not be able to carry on with a normal schedule.. eg. I play with ybs on mon-thurs evenings, uni band on mon-weds lunch and uni windband on tues-thurs lunch, normally with ybs concerts on the weekend. Is it feasible to keep this up while starting to use BE, or is it like an embouchure adjustment which will stop you playing to the same standard for a while? _________________ Aidan

BE is a gradual embouchure change. From what I've read you use your embouchure you have now to contiue playing in groups and what not, and then apply BE in the practice room. The book basically says the as you increase the amount of BE in the practice room your old chops begin to fade away into a more balanced and efficient setup. |
