Hi there,
I am in trouble.
For some time now I settled on Bach 5C equivalents ( rim wise ) for my playing.
Alas, yesterday, while digging some stuff out of a closet, I found this 1 1/4C ( shiny one ) and put it in my horn.
What a sound !!!!
Some gigs are coming next week
Please pray for me not to fall in this trap of thinking the 1 1/4C will do !
I have to stick with the chosen ones - practiced on ones - appraised ones ...
JiCe
PS : might have a bunch of 5's to sell shortly |

Don't use a '15 minute' mouthpiece for a 2 hour session. _________________ Most Important Note ? - the next one !
KNOW (see) what the next note is BEFORE you have to play it.
PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'. |

Jens's mouthpiece rant he talks about the allure of the big diameter pieces. It's very easy to get seduced but most all mouthpiece changes are a collection of compromises. It takes time to know if there's a net gain. Probably best not to make a last-minute change. _________________ "I'm an engineer, which means I think I know a whole bunch of stuff I really don't."
