Hey TH,
In this day and age it's so easy to be distracted by notifications, emails, social media ... you name it. That's why I asked 17 world class trumpeters how they stay focused during practice sessions.
There are a LOT of fantastic tips here ... any tips you'd all like to add?
I'll be incorporating a few of these ideas into my practice moving forward.

I've meditating since the 60s and find a certain detachment from distractions and a single-pointedness of concentration relatively easy to achieve. But that's result of lifelong study and probably doesn't work for everyone. No time to start like the present, though. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird
No problem with Distraction. I grew up in an era with no cell phones and no social media. I no longer watch much TV either. _________________ Schilke X3 Bb trumpet
