What would be a good schedule for practicing the flugelhorn, given that you practice your trumpet every day?
Thanks. |

Good question. Wouldn’t mind a few pointers too. Currently I tend to practice alternating between trumpet and flugel (to get used to switching) as well as playing every exercise twice (1x on each, to improve my intonation on flugel). But there are probably better ways (not to mention that unlike the OP, I don’t do this daily, only when I have plenty of time to practice). _________________ 1975 Olds Recording trumpet

Everybody is different. I never practice with my flugelhorn-I play it enough on gigs that switching back and forth isn't an issue. I do use a flugelhorn mouthpiece with he same rim, so I guess that helps. Not saying everyone should do the same-this just works for me. _________________ '56 Martin Committee Deluxe #2 trumpet
