I am considering buying a used YTR-6345S that is about two years old. I am wondering how this model of trumpet compares to the Xeno. My teacher has said that the Yamaha horns before the Xeno are stuffy and limited, but it seems like alot of the players on here like the earlier horns. Any help would be great.

For feedback on your question I recomend:

http://www.trumpetplayeronline.com/

because many have those pro models on there. Some times different people have different opinions.

I had one of their old "heavy wall" models that I used my senior year in HS. I liked it a lot, the only problem is that the valves were not "the best". In other words they were very good, but I had problems with them from time to time. It projected great and the tuning was above average.

The 6335 and 6345s are excellent horns. If they were stuffy, you'd feel it as soon as you tried horn. That's the same thing that many people say about Bach. Generally, when I hear someone claim "all such and such horns are stuffy" I suspect them of ignorance.

Try, then buy, if you like the horn.
