I've heard that Caruso said to do the Caruso exercises on all the horns you play on. Has anyone actually tried doing Caruso on piccolo trumpet? If so, how did it work out for you?

I did a looong time ago, back before I had any business even holding a picc. I didn't notice any benefit but that's probably because I tried to play them in the wrong range. I attempted to start them an octave higher because piccolo is pitched an octave higher, and failed miserably. If I were to try them again, I would start them on what would be a low G for a picc, fingered 1-3, and work from there.
