Congrats!
The Flumpet-cupped mpcs are wonderfully fun to play and can be incredibly useful in many settings. A C trumpet mpc with a Flumpet cup can be great in churches, accompanying vocalists, in place of a rotary trumpet in classical rep, etc., plus it's perfect for certain exposed solos - just stay open and don't tighten up.

Interesting, thanks. Monette nomenclature is not terribly clear hence the question: is the only difference the cup depth? Additional question: is the C2 relatively deep already or rather shallow?
Asking because to me the sound wasn’t all THAT different. The C2 had a little more clarity, but the difference is small. Wondering what happens if you start playing higher and louder? Will the difference be stronger?
Last question: is this an Inderbinen C?
@danbassin: interesting statement about the flumpet cup and church. On my C in the signature I use my regular C piece (AR Res.) for playing with the organ but change to a Curry 7TC for playing with woodwinds or singers. Sometimes I use the TC AND my cool Eazy Bucket mute

The Monette '2' size is equivalent to a 1 1/4 C, so not too deep, and a moderately large diameter piece. The FLUMPET cups are Dave's version of a 19th century deep VEE shaped cornet/flugel mpc, so it's quite deep, but extraordinarily well-balanced. You won't want to play lead on it, but the high range is true and accessible.

Agreed, it isn't a huge night and day difference.

Haven't tried yet, but I'll experiment with that soon.

It is. I'll do a full review video on the trumpet in the next month or two. Sneak preview is that I like it a lot but not as much as my Monette Bb. I'm trying to learn which differences are due to Monette vs Inderbinen and which are due to Bb vs C. I'll try to get out to the Monette shop this year to test whatever C trumpets they have laying around.
