I have been "off" coffee for 5-years, now. Love it, love to smell it ... however (!!), it was causing me "intestinal distress"
(if you know what I mean).

Now drink hot tea. Herbal, green, organic, etc. Am enjoying it, as much as, or even, more-so than coffee. No more 'intestinal distress".
I used to drink tea many years ago. Mainly, in the afternoon and evenings.
I am ready to throw the tea in the harbor. Anyone, else?

Coffee all the way for me. I absolutely detest tea. The taste, even the smell. |
Egad! A Brit that detests tea?

I thought tea was the National Beverage in the UK.
What ... crumpets, next?

Lol. No I like crumpets, and had them for lunch yesterday. Tea may be the national beverage in the UK, but it is definitely not for me. Even the thought of it makes me feel nauseous. Coffee is definitely my thing. _________________ Trumpets:

Stay away from black tea.
Suggest green tea in moderation.
Herbal tea best for little/NO caffeine ... which is the precursor to anxiety. _________________ Sub-Optimal Hillbilly Jazz |

Just recently, I read about carbonated cold brew coffee. May have been (?) a European innovation.
Never have seen this stuff, here in USA.
Anyone ? _________________ Sub-Optimal Hillbilly Jazz |

Neither tea nor coffee! Louise told about her reaction to tea - I agree!
This has to do with a child hood experience: as a little boy there was a question - was I suffering from rakitis (I didn´t) so my mother brought me to a certain "healer" in town who prescribed an extremely unsavoury mixture including tea. For years after that I couldn´t even stand the smell of boiling water.
never again! I dislike the taste as much today as back in the day.
What about coffee? Nope only at very very solemn occasions. Can´t stand the taste! Besides that makes it impossible to go to sleep.
So what do I drink?? Milk! Me and the Phantom. Hence my strong playing. _________________ Cornets: mp 143D3/ DW Ultra 1,5 C

I recently bought an espresso machine and absolutely love it! It really takes the coffee game to the next level, I have a latte every morning and have never felt more productive! Truly recommend it. |

Life long coffee drinker here, I switched to tea only for 6 months and as much tea as I drank, even up to like 6-8 cups a day, I couldn’t get the same energy and mood boost that one coffee gave me. Coffee is not just caffeine, neither is tea, they both have complex effects. I picked coffee back up and it was like in the cartoons, a lightning bolt hit me and I suddenly felt alive again.
But beyond the drug I just love the taste of coffee. It’s completely different, very strong, has a great mix of floral, roasted, bitter and sour. There’s as much coffee out there to explore as tea and so much variety in flavor and quality. It’s fun. |
