Hi everyone! I'm interested in getting my Schilke X-3 Gold Plated. Possibly some of it done in satin finish if not all of it. Any current thoughts on the best place to have this done? Someone back not to long ago posted that had a Schilke that they had redone in satin gold and also had the name "Schilke" put where the model name was on the mouthpiece receiver but I can't remember where I saw it. Anyone know which topic that was under or who it was?
Thanks,
Archie

Archie,

It was probably a post by drunkiq and the work was done by Pettifors. They do excellent work. Here is an example of a trumpet they overhauled for me. It is a 1952 Martin Committee deluxe:

Wow! Beautiful. Do they have a web site? I'm not familiar with their name.
