Hey everyone,
Dillon Music will be displaying a this years ITG conference. Unlike past conferences, we would to try a slightly different approach this year and ask you:
What would YOU like us to bring?
What horns are YOU interested in trying that you rarely have a chance?
Please post replies here and hopefully we can all agree on a few. The conference is designed for you and other trumpet players, so why not get the most out of it.
If you had specific accessories in mind, please mention those as well.
Sincerely,
Joe Gaspar

Joe -
You guys gonna be taking trade-ins for a purchase of a new horn??
- I personally would like to try a few *NEW* Bach Strads ML180S-37G.
- Add to that any C180-229G you might have ... or C180-229H
- Used Mouthpieces
- Rocky Mountain cases _________________ Joel Thomas |

I spent time in the Dillon Room at the NYBC. Good things that I saw were Greg Black and his MPs and the collection of Schilke models. Greg is a very knowledgeable and helpful guy. And playing the Schilkes - moving down the line of the model you brought - was interesting. The staff was great. |

If we give you specific orders for mutes and suchlike, are you able to bring an order with you?
I have got a few colleagues who might well take up this offer (including a trombonist - do you have any moral objections to bringing trombone stuff to a trumpet conferences??). |

For a little different spin, as I am sure no one else will be doing it, you might devote a small section to used trumpets, specifically Strads, Martins, Olds, etc. This way, if Brand X trumpet is supposed to sound and play like a vintage Commitee, what better trumpet for comparison than a vintage Commitee? Everyone there is going to be looking for good deals, and once word gets out about that you have a Strad for x dollars, it will at least get them to the booth. Plus it will help clear out old stock, if it were me I would bring every Ambassador in the store and keep them all under 200.00, as you will have a number of educators there and we all know they ain't got the bucks for a 4 k superhorn. |
