Hi guys, I just joined the site so I could post an add for my piccilo trumpet (accidently posted it in the Bb section though) but I think I will become a regular posting member because of the depth of information from reliable sources that can be found here. Just saying hello!

Welcome to the trumpet section. Yes we are all insanely obsessed with all things trumpet and we don't care who knows it. And, because we are all trumpet players, we won't ever tell you your playing too loud. Anyway... enjoy. |

Hi...My name is Mark and I'm a Brass-a-holic. (Group responds with a resounding"HI MARK")
I've been obsessing about 40 years ever since my parents rented me my first Conn cornet when I was 10 years of age. The trumpet is NOW my drug of choice...although I DO play keyboards 90% of the time...I seem to still have a fetish for the Trumpet (even though I own 8 pianos and keyboards).
And remember...ANYONE who tells you your trumpet playing is TOO loud is either a burned out egomaniacal lead guitar player, a dizzy female vocalist,or ANYONE who plays a violin. _________________ MARK /aka "musicmork"/ aka " The Creator "

And a warm welcome to jazztrumpet86 whilst I am in this happy mood.
Make yourself at home, bring a sense of humour (you WILL need it) and see how quickly you can make it up the posting rankings!! |

Hi T.J.
I am a Maryland trumpeter too, though I am an old fart comebacker, not a HS jazzer like you. Where do you go to school? Hows the band there?

Well, Frederick County, I quit band my senior year because I thought the band director was immature, I won't post the school incase somebody knows him. I love jazz and I believe that listening is my greatest strength, I am not the greatest player but I try hard and give my best. |
