Depends on what you want it for. The Ambassador is a real trumpet with a real trumpet sound and can be used in a variety of settings credibly. The Jupiter pocket has a tiny bell, intonation problems, slides that are a pain, and the pocket sound--dry, deadish, strange. But it's great in certain settings. I use mine amplified through effects or in other non-traditional music where its sound is what I need.
But I don't really see a pocket and a standard horn as interchangeable. |
