Any suggestion???

I have a early Old Recording 74 xxx and I'm looking into buying heavy valve cap.

The horn is normaly Heavy plus I have a "megatone type" mpc... but more weight = more fun and a fatter sound... so any suggestion?

Curry makes caps that fit most Olds trumpets--#8 and #9 caps, but you'd have to try them both (or send him one of your caps so he can match threading).

Why not duct tape a brick to your forehead to keep your sinuses from resonating?

!!!

I don't think a classic Olds needs heavy caps . . . .

Actually, I agree....my Olds doesn't NEED heavy cap... But I'd like to have a set. For the same reason I use a Wick booster when playing:

1st: When practicing, it adds resistance so that makes my chop works harder. Then when playing without it, I get better control.

2nd: I sometime play with my booster for a reason wich is that it permit me a better volume and a fatter sound...

So I'd just like to have heavy cap for FUN of have more resistance and to sometimes have a fatter sound.
