I'd like to know what is your oppinion weither or not the Recording from the 50's can rivalise with horn such as:
Bach Strad
Shilke
Yamaha
Other brand you want to make comparison...
I often hear that Recording was the best trumpet ever made or so (super recording have its importance too) by OLDS... _________________ Nicolas Marcotte

Some Recordings sound brighter than others (maybe the newer ones) to me. I like two different bright sounding ones that I borrow from time to time, but neither of them are for sale. One is from about 66 and I am not sure about the other, probably late 50s. The ones that do not sound bright still get a pretty sound, but I cannot hear myself on them in a section as I can with my Bach. Maybe the older bells were heavier, but there seems to me to be a slight variation in the sound through the decades they were made.
