I'm looking for the link ITG has that talks about getting a beginner's embouchure going. Can someone giving me the direct link? I was over at ITG's website and I can't seem to get their "search" engine to work.
Thanks! _________________ Playing For Him,

ConnMan,
The article is from the February 1987 ITG Journal. Unfortunately, this article is not available online, but it is on the ITG Journal CD-ROM.

It is a great article.
Perhaps why somone scanned it and put it out on the web. Why don't ITG do something with this?
In my opinion they should make this article available on Internet.
Some years ago they granted me (as member of ITG) the permission to translate it into Norwegian and have it printed in our Norwegian Trumpet Forum. Some of our members have later contacted me to say how much they liked this article (or interview).
I also remember I told Jeff Smiley about it. He was very intrigued by what Ghitalla had to say. Jeff found a lot in Ghitallas thinking that he himself have in his book The Balanced Embouchure.
So, ITG (if you listen?) - get this article posted on the ITG website! Both to educate players and to give a tribute to the late great Armando Ghitalla!
Regards from ITG member in Norway,
Ole |
