For a little info go to "FUNDAMENTALS" and check out the post "Colin Flexibilities". _________________ Jay S.

If I could point to one book that has made the biggest, most measurable difference in my playing it would be the Colin lip flexibilities. Wise investment, stick with it & you will be most pleased with your progress! _________________ Gary A. Wilder |

3 Books in one...
in my opinion...
book 1 = endurance improvement
book 2 = endurance + range improvement
book 3 = flexibility + range improvement

Hey Victor,
I have the very same book at home. It's really good for a warmup to get yourself going in all parts of the register. Fantastic book.

I've had the book for years; anytime I know I've got to play a job and a lot of range is involved, I break out the Colin book and hit it hard. True lifesaver. |

This book is excellent, just make sure that you use it as it is intended - playing through a huge range with slurs (primarily) to make sure you are not constantly resetting the chops dependent on the range. It is better to play the easier exercises correctly than to "cheat" to play the harder ones. Master the easier ones and then use the same good techniques to play even the most difficult ones. You will get the best results that way. _________________ Best Regards, Play Well!! |
