|
|
Hi,
I recently came into the posession of two horns that belonged to my Grandfather. One of them is a silver Yamaha which I posted a question about on Friday. Thanks for those that helped me. The other is a Vincent Bach (Bundy) by H&A Selmer Inc. It has the serial number 172044 on the middle cylinder. Does anyone have any idea when this trumpet was made, what specific options were available with it, and what it might be worth (so I can insure it)? Thanks again for your help.
Sincerely,
Scott |

Based on information in the Lars Kirmser Proprietary Serial Number list, it looks like the horn was made in the late 1970s. Here's a link to the list: http://www.musictrader.com/serialnos.html
I don't think Bundy's came with many options. As for value, if it's in very good shape I would think a couple of hundred dollars, tops. Generally, it's not cost-effective to insure something worth that much, unless it has huge sentimental value. _________________ Jim Hatfield
