For those that haven't heard, Dave will be playing at Meany Hall at UW on July 20th. The New Quintet includes Chris Potter (O my GAWD!) and James Genus. Not to be missed by jazzers, trumpeters, musicians, or anyone looking for a great time! _________________ Nicholas Dyson

UW, Meany Hall. call the ticket office tomorrow, as I bet they're closed by now. Tell them you're a student and it'll be $20. It's tomorrow night at 7:30pm. _________________ Nicholas Dyson

Concert was great. Everyone played their asses off. Here's the lineup:
Dave Douglas, trumpet
Chris Potter, tenor (didn't play ANY bass clar)
Uri Caine, Rhodes
James Genus, Bass
Clarence Penn, drums
the whole band really sounded great. Lots of awsome communication going on.
I am also now the self proclaimed winner of any Dave Douglas lookalike contest. As soon as he walked out on stage, you should've seen all my friends. Their heads snapped over to me like kitten watching Wimbledon. Fortunately, he didn't play like me... _________________ Nicholas Dyson
