Does anyone make a combination case that will hold a trumpet, flugelhorn and a piccolo trumpet, all three? Thank you for your help _________________ Eric

Yes

I have one that takes my Bb, piccolo and flugel - it is a fantastic case. Expensive, but worth every penny. |

You may not want a gig bag, but you could always put them in a Reunion Blues (or the like) triple bag. _________________ --Matt--

For the price, that's what I recommend. Search around....you'll run across something. |

I've played church gigs before that have asked for Bb, Flugel, and Picc. A lot of the modern church music calls for stuff like that. If you're doing a program that has styles varying from a ballad to a latin/salsa feel to a high-church anthem (obligatory Hallelujah Chorus tacked on at the end of the Christmas program) you can encounter a need/request for all of those horns.
Also, when you're doing musicals you might run across that stuff. The one that specifically comes to mind is Ragtime. Of course, it can all be played on Bb, but the composer did intend for a certain sound and, I believe, that if you've got the gear you should use it. Not to mention, some gigs (union?) pay more for doubling.
Unfortunately, all I have is a Bb and C, so I do it all on Bb or take it down. _________________ --Matt--

The musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" also calls for all three horns. |

Church and quintet gigs of course.. Just played the Mannheim Steamroller show Sat. night and it called for C, Flugal and Bb picc.
I just carry my flugal in a reunion blues gig bag because its a 25 year old yamaha beater. Still a good horn. Then carry everything else in a Marcus Bona triple. Great case.

But you'll have LOTS of extra room in the compartment where you place the picc. You'll likely want to improvise some extra foam padding, but I wouldn't let that stop me. I'm very satisfied with my own RB SuperTriple. (BTW, get the Super Triple, not the Triple; the Triple won't hold the flugel.) |

I find that when playing with symphonic brass ensembles (where I do quite a lot of playing) I am often carrying many instruments:
Bb
C
Eb/D
Piccolo
Flugel
and sometimes
G Piccolo
Cornet
I have used all 7 in one half before now!! |
