Well, I'm stuck in the middle of the road on how to answer your question, because I do all of the above, work non-musically and musically.

My Full Time day job, I work as a Senior Designer in our Environmental Division of a consulting engineering firm.

BUT, I work Part Time at PiCK Music ( www.pickmusic.net ), teach a few students, play in my church orchestra and also play in a Worship Band that gigs around ( www.measureofgrace.com ).

I freelance and teach privately. Most people I know who freelance also have a private studio. Kinda goes hand in hand for most people in that position, I think.

Mothers are working women!

Stay-at-home-mom/dad fits both of the first definitions of 'job'.

1. A regular activity performed in exchange for payment [not necessarily monetary] especially as one's trade, occupation, or profession.

2. A position in which one is employed.

Of course they are... I stand corrected.

Rich

You recieved that very politely (I'm trying to think of another word for it, but I can't come up with anything at the moment!), I'm impressed!

I almost can't blame you though. Modern feminists have tried to pound in our heads that working at home is nothing at all, only working outside the home qualifies as a real job.
