Wow! But I think I would insist on giving her something. That horn is worth big bucks! Does she have any idea as to what it is -- a true collectors item worth thousands? _________________ C - Harrelson 750 Modified Bach Strad

Hello,
Congrats on the new horn. I had the same thing about a year ago. At the gym that I work out in there was this older lady maybe 80 plus years. She new that I worked as a trumpet player at busch gardens. She would always tell me that her husband played trumpet in the air force during WWII. Every time I would see her she would invite me over to eat and maybe play her husbands trumpet. I never felt comfortable going over because it might make her sad becuase her husband passed away a few years ago. So one day she cornered me in the gym and told me I had to come look at her husbands trumpet. So I did and when I walked into her house there sit a mint Mt Vernon trumpet!!! Original case, 4 New york and Mt vernon mouthpieces 1,1/2 3C, 1 1/4 and 1. It had original shiping reciept shop card, sales reciept. All orginal mutes, oil cleaning rod, original al cass valve oil bottle. So to make it short she gave it to me!!!! It was great...So have fun with you horn. |

Dude, you like should do her grocery shopping, car washing, and snow shoveling for a year...
Seriously though, do something nice for her, whether it's dinner at Le Chique or something.
Maybe a gift to the church in her name?
