Has anybody tried a heavy lead mouthpiece (Or added weight to aa lead mouthpiece)? Does it give it a deeper sound? Thanks

A lead cat in Chicago, Tom Fox, uses a heavy Laskey model, somewhat similar to the Faddis blank. It's a shallow mouthpiece, but his sound is huge with it, almost orchestral. Of course, it could just be the player.
