Hey guys & gals...

Where's the best place to send out a tuning slide for repair? (I don't have anyone in the area that I trust to work on my horns ) It came out a flyin' and hit the bell...nice little dent. Also, any ideas in regards to the "fix it up" price are welcomed.
Thanks in advance for the info.

Charlie Melk. Do a search and you'll find all sorts of good things about him. If you email him and send a photo of the damage he will probably give you a rough estimate.

Another vote for Melk.
His prices are very, very competetive and the work is outstanding.

Brandon -

I am in Ellicott City, Maryland, and have several local techs I would trust with banging a dent out of a slide.

Usually, whenever I get an ebay horn with some dents, loose solder joints, stuck mouthpiece, etc., I just make a quick appointment with Jim Tull in Laurel and stop by on my way to work. He is reasonable and usually fixes the problems those kind of things while I wait. Unfortunately, we usually end up gabbing about horns, guitars, musicians, and then I am late for work!!!

Also, the guys at Rosso Music in Brooklyn Park do great work as does Albert at Baltimore Brass in Catonsville.

Come over to this side of the bay bridge and we'll take care of you!
