FELIX C,
A thoughtful friend of mine borrowed my case for a week while he waited for his case to arrive. I have extras, only this one fit his horn.
When he returned it, my old bach case from 1976 had a brand new handmade leather handle. very comfortable and gauranteed for life.
The work was done at a well known, luggage shop around here. I bet you have either that or a custom leather shop around your town too.
While I don't know for sure, I don't think it could have cost a whole lot!
Good luck,

Hi,
Bach dealers also sell the original handles, as is shown in the link above.
When I replaced a set on an old Bach case a few years ago I just spread the rectangular links apart on the ends of the new handles, and the old ones still on the horn case, and then put the new handle and rectangular links on the case and squeezed the links back together with a pair of channel lock pliers . . . without resorting to riveting.
It is super easy and fast to do it this way.
