That is odd. I emailed Mark Curry directly about the CCaps fitting Yamaha horns and he said he did not make them.

I own a set of Magnum CCAPS for my Yamaha 2330IIS cornet and just ordered a set of the same caps for my Yamaha 731 flugelhorn, so yes, he does make them.
The regular CCAPS are 1 oz. each, the Magnums 1.75 oz. each. I also play the Magnums on my Strad Bb & C and will be trying a set of 4 on my Kanstul piccolo, should arrive next week. It improves the horns tremendously...at least for me.
Also, Mouthpiece Express sells them for less than WW&BW and they are awfully nice to work with....I've bought lots o' stuff from them. If not them, then Dillon Music. _________________ Always find some time to practice!

The email I sent detailed my horn which is a 6345s made in Japan. The horns made in Japan have a different thread pitch. I asked him if he made his CCaps for the Japanese made horns and he replied NO.
Hope that clears up any confusion.

Umm-How odd. I have an older Yamaha 6345S, Japan, serial #0018**, magnificent, and the Mark Curry CCAPS thread perfectly. The same CCAPS also fit any Yamaha that I try them on, no exceptions. Aaaggh. |

i have the regular CCaps, it is the #1 version for yamahas, also have used them perfectly w/ my beginner bach trumpet (tr300), one of the new Benge horns, my stomvi, and my D.E.G. flugelhorn.
i'm hopeing they work w/ my Courtois but kinda doubt it :-/... that being said if they don't fit i'll be buying a set for the Courtois in the not to distant future. _________________ mark aka donalson
