Being in an air cadet marching band, we always loose many player and get new each years. But hte thing is that this years, we will be going to musical competition, and we need to have acceptable intermediate-trumpeter(student level). Most of them don't know anythign about music sheet or theorie. And our budget is low. So i matter with some student method and trumpet (of course) What can we do to get them good trumpeter (student level) in 6 month to be ready for competition.
This include :
-range from low G to high G (just above the staff)
- Enough technique to play some quarter note. doted half note and quarter note ( i'm no familiar with english way to call notes i hope you'll understand)
- Being able to play for 30 minute long without having break more than what a music sheet include (rest bar).
- Attacking notes and breathing properly
- Marching and playing simultaneous
- i don't know what else should i include...
- knowing basic theory...
So please tell me anytihng that can help. And remember...do not tell to use this or this book. Only thing that is in my pocession is the basic caruso founded on the internet ( six notes, second, harmonics, chromatic Pedal, Chord Pedals) Thanx,
