I have a quick question about one of the breathing exercise. In the one where you're sitting and you bend your head down as far as you can go, with the knees touching, and breath in. Does this mean that you just bend your head down, as in your neck, or do you curl your abdomen as well, so your head is down close to your legs. I would assume is the former, but I do remember reading about a yoga breathing exercise with you bending down between your legs.

I'm not totally sure, but it sounds a lot like one that is mentioned in the Mendez book, the description is very similar. you DO bring your whole body toward your legs, this is supposed to open up the chest area for more capacity |

I have thought about the same breathing exercise too. This isn't a pure answer, I just understand it that way. If someone has some better knowledge about how to get the best profit about this exercise, he or she can explain it more detailed way..
If I get air in relaxed when keeping my knees together, my torso ascends like a speedometer or something like that. While keeping the air in, I relax and my torso moves downwards. My chest is now touching my knees. Then I can feel the air inside me moving to my chest causing the developing of intercostal area. Is this correct? |
