Just wondered what any of you thought of "Setting Up Drills" by Herbert Clarke.
I got hold of a copy recently and it seems to have some useful material in it, especially the Scale Exercises, although I notice that it hasn't been mentioned very much on this site.
Are there any other good books on the market that might serve a similar purpose?
Any contributions grateful! |

Hey,
You seem to have found a liking to Mr Clarke's stuff. GOOD!!! All of his stuff is fantastic. Especially the Characteristic and technical studies when practiced at p. But hte setting up drills are good too. Anything by Clarke is worth having in the arsenal. Check out his elementary studies book as well. It is often over looked as beig literature for more advanced players. But it still has some good stuff in there. _________________ www.trumpetherald.com
