Is there any of the Chase music available on CD yet. If so where can it be found?

If you are interested in Bill Chase on Woody Herman's recordings, I recently picked up a double CD with Bill on it. I have been searching for "Woody's Winners" in stores for years (could have got it on the web easier, but I enjoyed the search. More reason to go into CD stores!). Came across "Jazz Hoot" and "Woody's Winners" on Collectables Jazz Classics. The CD info. is COL-CD-6678 SONY A 50716.

The trumpet section for most of the tracks is made up of Bill, Don Rader, Bob "Bobby" Shew, Dusko Goykovich, and Gerald Lamy. Recorded mostly on June 28-30, 1965. 4 more tracks we recorded on October 8, 1965. That section was Lloyd Michaaels, Lynn Biviano, Dick Ruedenbusch, Bill Byrne, and John Crews.

Really good stuff!

I have Bill's other CD's and also enjoy these.

Yeah, those early 60's or so Woody recording were my earliest exposure to Chase. God, what an animal he was in that band.
