I've been working on raising the mouthpiece higher up on my lips and have really only lost a couple notes from the top of my range but otherwise it's more comfortable, but I have one question; When I do start playing higher with the mouthpiece higher up my bottem lip tends to almost tuck under my top lip. Does this effect anything? Should I work on keeping my lips lined up? Thanks! |

Trumpetjunkie,
Your analytic approach is going to be an anchor on the development of your embouchure. The more you analyze, the bigger that anchor will become. Good luck, though. |

This will cause you to lose your upper register. Try to keep your bottom lip flat against your bottom teeth, and use it as an anchor point for your mouthpiece.
Good Luck,
