Hey guys,

I really need your help here. I have begun to notice that my teeth are rotting in the exact same shape of my mouthpiece right where I place it on my face.

Is this bad? Does this mean I am playing with too much pressure if I have worn the enamel off of my teeth?

Just kidding...I have seen posts that almost sound like this and couldn't resist!

I just love this forum,

David Wheeler

It will be necessary for you to eat six helpings of asparagus a day to overcome this problem.

James,

I might have to think about this...I might rather have rotten teeth than to eat those veggies!

Not to mention the amount of gas you'd get from 6 helpings of asparagus.
You'd have to move into the "club house".

Oh, I see I wasn't clear enough in my suggestion. Eating six helpings of asparagus a day won't do anything for your teeth, but it will cure your sense of humor.... har har

Hey,

I vote we move him into the clubhouse with his 6 helpings of "gas grass" and let him do a little entertaining for us.... or not.

Ent. Chair,
Nick

Q: How do we know the toothbrush was invented in West Virginia?

A: Because, if it were invented anywhere else, they would have named it the teethbrush.

One dumb joke deserves another.

All levity aside, huge progress has been made in the area of dental implants, something that would have prolonged the careers of a lot of wonderful players. A friend of mine had several molars replaced with implants. The procedure is done under general anesthesia and costs about $2,000 a tooth. My friend said she was talking with another patient, a woman in her 60s, who had eight done at once with no complications, save a fairly tender mouth for a few days.

My problem is not as severe. My front two teeth are cracked and it is visible if you get within about 6 inches. It really makes me try to keep the pressure of when playing in the high register. I remember reading about an old timey device that cuts off the air supply to the trumpet when theres to much presure, yeah my teeth are kida like that the split when theres to much pressure then no more playing for me.....

Oh Yah, ya see the thing about a dumb joke is that one can put about 4 or 5 of them out there for the cost of one smart joke..... i.e.: Where do you find a dog with no legs?....Wherever you left him...
