Does anyone know this guy? He's got some chops and he plays a vintage Ambassador. He's kind of quirkey in a chilling kind of vibe if you know what I mean. I had never heard of him until I got a Myspace. Somehow he found my page and made a friend request. He sure promotes himself...alot! But there is nothing much about him anywhere.

That video was ok. It could do without the cheesy up close shots, which he seems to do in all his videos. Plus the dude just looks way creepy. Look over to the right in the "related" section and that shot of him looks really evil. However, the guy has some chops, that I will say. _________________ Jim New S5 M and MS with C Backbore

No kidding. Those dubs into the video are hideous. _________________ Joe |

After he finishes his cadenza I noticed that the sound changes big time. Lots of studio sounding reverb that wasn't part of the sound he was getting with the cadenza. He does make the point, though, that when it comes to playing the trumpet it ain't the trumpet.
Speaking of sound. Here's Aaron Klemstud demonstrating the trumpet sound that I really love and would die for.

Really?
I bought his first album when it came out in the '70s. I like his pop stuff. But he's way out of his league here. Check out his intonation..and phrasing...and tone...
In general I hate it when pop musicians think that by virtue of fame and fortune they're entitled to sit on the same stage as someone like Chet.

Whew.. for a second I thought you were serious. I agree, crossing over from pop music something deep and soul touching as chet's music is tough some times. I don't know that anyone is 'entitled' to be one stage. _________________ BM Oklahoma City University
