I personally don't consider emoticons netspeak.

And I think they can add visual cues that are missing from written communications. As such, I would like to see them used.

Some interesting comments. I agree that some of the appaling posts are there not because of lack of education but more a couldn`t care less attitude. I know I`ll be roasted for saying this, but we know where posts originate from and we need to remember that this is an International forum and readers can`t help but form an opinion of a country from what they hear, see and read. We always should be trying to presnt our country to the best of our ability. Russ (inAus)
