Has anyone heard the recording of this symphony by the London Philharmonic with Welser-Most conducting? The Trumpet playing is fantastic, as is the entire brass section. If you like Bruckner, get this recording. It was recorded live in Vienna as well.

I believe it is on EMI and has just been re-released on their budget label.

yeah. that bruckner 5 is amazing. I actually like it even more because of how huge the Tuba sounds. Unbelieveable. Another great LPO CD from around that time is their recording of Wallton's 1st symphony with Bryden Thompson conducting. Greatness. |
