Hey everyone... I am looking to take some lessons with a high level trumpet teacher in NYC that plays both classical and jazz and is good with fixing individual problems. I also dont want to spend an arm and a leg for it haha! I am thinking Laurie Frink? Any takers on her as a possibility?? Thanks for your help!!!!!

I study with Laurie, and would highly reccomend her, except that she's not around a lot in the summer. Might as well contact her to find out though. Let me know if you need her number, and I'll dig it up.

Laurie would be great. Another good possibility would be Dave Rogers. Let me know via private message if you want their contact info.

p.s. Adamcz played his backside off at the ITG. I really dug getting to hear him.

I used to study with Michael Philip Mossman and would highly recommend him. He is the head of the music/jazz department at Queens College, CUNY. He is a great jazz/lead player and also used to play with the Puerto Rico Symphony. He is also a much sought after arranger and composer. In my opinion, he is the most underrated trumpet player and teacher in New York.
If you have any questions, please ask.

Logan

Also, for improv lessons you should definitely check out John McNeil. Ryan, email me if you want contact info for McNeil or Frink.

Laurie Frink,
I got lessons from her for a summer. Totally worth it.

Mark Gould,
I don't know if he's around for the summer, but he's probably one of the very best teachers worldwide (also one of the smartest and funniest people I've ever met). And YES he's a great jazz player. If you're in NYC get lessons from BOTH!!!!
Let me know if you need numbers.

Rich
