Yesturday, my curiosity got the best of me.
I decided to see If I could play as a type IV.
I have no desire to change types; why fight what seems natural to me. I was, however, curious about the type IV's alleged easier upper register.
So what happenned?
My first notes were almost an octave above what I thought would come out.
I pushed more, and hit a mf tripple C (three octaves above middle c). I didn't even know a tripple C could be that loud! For some reason I could not repeat it, but it was kind of a fun experiment.
Once again, I have no interrest in switching types, but it was nice to see for myself that yet another finding of Reinhardt is right in line with my own experience.
